Dill Mill Gayye is a show aimed at the urban educated youth. Set in the backdrop of a hospital it deals with the pressures, the drama, the romance, the inter personal relationships and humour in the lives of young doctors. Keeping the environment of a hospital in mind, the characters of the show are real, their issues are believable and the approach is dramatic, but never unreal, albeit emotional and fun filled.

Born and brought up in. Mumbai, she first began her career as a model while she was still in college.
When actor Pawan Malhotra watched the young Shilpa Tulaskar in a play he recommended her to director Siddharth Sen Gupta, who was on the look out for actors for his show 9 Malabar Hill. The pretty Shipla played a high-class woman who was in love with a fisherman (played by Pawan Malhotra). From there on there was no looking back.
Shilpa is adept at portraying a wide range of emotions. Comedy, tragedy or negative, she excels in all characters. She’s fondly remembered for her role in Do Boond Chaand Ke (forming part of the widely watched “Rishtey’ series) where she played a woman who has a miscarriage and has to cope with the reality of never being able to conceive again. In Agar, she played a vamp while we saw her funny side in Hudd Kar Di. In Trikaal Shilpa plays the sensitive role of a woman who is raped by the village goon.
She was also seen in shows like Teacher, Shanti, Tum Mere Ho, Kuch Kehti Hai Ye Dhun, Love Hai To Life Hai and Thodi Si Zameen Thoda Aasman and Dill Mill Gayye.
Besides doing Hindi serials, Shilpa has done remarkable work in the Marathi arena, doing numerous serials and movies. Her film Dombivali- fast received the jury prize for best feature film at the Indian Film Festival at Los Angeles.
